Developed and shipped a sports media and data tracking mobile application

Role and Responsibilities

I was brought onto the project towards the final months to support the heavy sprints remaining. I was a full-stack engineer and technologies involved were Go, React Native, GraphQL and SQL.

Process and Approach

In addition to delivering quality code through my software engineering role, I also supported the team in conducting sprint retrospectives, leading sprint planning sessions and preparing QA and users in the UAT phase of the application before shipping the product.

There was a tremendous amount of bug fixes having joined in the final few months of the project which were handled prompty in decreasing priority before product launch.

Results

• New sports media casting mobile application was launched on-time with anticipated delays avoided
• Launched mobile application increased monthly user retention on average by 2.2 months
